WEEK 8  

The Sacrifice of Abraham & Isaac -  The ULTIMATE Test

 All throughout scriptures we have heroes who were asked to do “Hard Things” --- BUT this week, in Genesis 22, with Abraham and Isaac --- this one tops them all, in my book. Both father’s and son’s faith and obedience will be put to the ultimate test, as they are both asked to make the greatest sacrifice imaginable. It’s a powerful, heart-wrenching story, and although their specific sacrifice is something we will never be asked to do… there are some POWERFUL PRINCIPLES from this story that we CAN apply to us (at any age) in our efforts to “prove ourselves”. Hope this episode is extra special for your family.

FLASHBACK EPISODE – The Lord told the early Saints who were being persecuted in Missouri that they would “be tried even as Abraham was” (as all of us will be tried, for that matter). This week, re-visit some of their trials and how it made them stronger. Plus, its got a pretty fun music video if you haven’t seen it yet

WEEK 7 

On to Abraham… and The COVENANT!

 >Whew<!  We are MOVING along with CFM this year! We’ve already covered 2,000 years! And now we come to Abraham, one of the greatest prophets of the Old Testament! But did you know he wasn’t always a bearded, old guy? This week, get inspired by the YOUNG Abraham and how he sought to be a GREATER follower of righteousness, even in the “terrible”, sin-soaked… uh…  lack-of-a-fatherly-role-model environment he grew up in. And how that led him to greater things… including The COVENANT God made with him that has blessed all of us today! Good stuff this week! Enjoy!

 FLASHBACK – We have a special HAND visitor this week…so feel free to flashback to when we first met him. Can we just say – YOU GOT TO WANT TO!

 Noah’s Ark. Probably THE most well-known story of the Old Testament! Even a three-year old could tell you all about Noah gathering the animals into the ark. But what can we LEARN from this epic story that would apply to us TODAY? What meaning does it have for you and me? That is the focus of this week’s video. And… enjoy the story of Noah’s Ark set to one of my most elaborate MUSIC VIDEOS I’ve done to date. It’s so elaborate, I call it – “Come Float Away” – THE MUSICAL”! Ooohhh. 

FLASHBACK episode --- This week’s Come Follow Me curriculum also covers the Ancient Tower of Babel story, where the Lord confused their languages. So, our flashback episode will be the Brother of Jared story since…well...he was there too! And BOTH episodes involve building large seacraft. Ooohh
