“…Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost.”
In visualizing all of Christ’s expressions, I find His ability to rejoice most appealing. Rejoicing is laughing! Rejoicing is shouting for joy! Rejoicing is unabashed celebration of the good!
In this parable, Jesus doesn’t just rejoice personally upon finding His lost sheep… He invites “his friends and neighbors” to join Him in the celebration! And to truly celebrate with Him, you and I must join in the search. Christ wants us to feel the sweet joy of helping to bring others to His saving grace. When we do as He does, we feel as He feels.
